Overview
The City of Fort Pierce Planning Board is essential in reviewing and influencing the management of growth in Fort Pierce, encouraging the preservation of our natural landscapes and treasured resources and by promoting excellence in township design. Their efforts foster the development of communities and neighborhoods that have a distinct character and identity and that offer the best possible conditions in which to live, work, shop, and play. They advance the development of well-planned centers that contain homes, businesses, community facilities, and parks within walking distances of each other.
Promoting Quality Growth
These extra steps help to manage and protect our lagoon and shorelines, while promoting excellence in design and quality of growth as a way of improving the city’s visual image while strengthening our community life. These objectives are facilitated through the review of Site Plans, Conditional Use, annexations, and design review projects, as well as maintaining and prioritizing long range capital improvement projects.
Their continued focus on a long term commitment to economic vitality, environmental integrity, and development design quality embrace the future of our Community.
