City of Fort Pierce Launches Peacock Arts District Mural Program
The City of Fort Pierce announces a call for submissions for murals in the Peacock Arts District (PAD). The murals will be painted this summer as part of a broader creative placemaking initiative to create an attractive environment that develops interest for the corridor, promotes civic pride and increases pedestrian activity.
The mural program will help activate the newly-branded Peacock Arts District and transform spaces into unique and engaging works of art that create a sense of place. The application period for mural entries is open until July 8, 2019.
The locations for phase one of the mural program were selected based on their proximity to one another in an effort to create the greatest impact possible.
