Biography

Jeremiah K. Johnson is a lifelong resident of Fort Pierce and St. Lucie County. Jeremiah is married to Kelly McBee Johnson, a teacher/mentor within the St Lucie County School District. They have two awesome children, Noah and Leah, who are attending Florida universities since their graduation from the historic Lincoln Park Academy. Jeremiah has a bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, is a state certified contractor, and is a professional in the construction/engineering field. Jeremiah’s diverse background includes governmental budgeting, strategic planning, capital forecasting, building and infrastructure design, construction, planning, zoning, and technical environmental processes to protect our valuable resources and pristine Indian River Lagoon. Before re-entering into the private sector in Construction Management, Jeremiah was the Assistant Director of Facilities Management for St Lucie County. Jeremiah is a civic leader and volunteer in many areas of Fort Pierce involving its citizens, its youth, and the environment. He now serves or has served in many capacities for his community which include the Fort Pierce City Commission (2016- present), Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency, SLC Transportation Planning Organization Chair, Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council, Fort Pierce Retirement Board, Ex-Officio member of the St Lucie Chamber of Commerce, Fort Pierce Main Street, Fort Pierce South Beach Association, active with the Economic Development Council, past chair of the Fort Pierce Planning Board, past member of the Citizens Budget Committee for St Lucie County, Water Environment Federation member, Florida Engineering Society member, a business partner with many local non-profit organizations, and Elder at Westside Church in Fort Pierce.
