The restoration of Fort Pierce’s neighborhoods is a key strategy for revitalizing the Fort Pierce Redevelopment Area (FPRA) and the City of Fort Pierce as a whole. One way to accomplish this goal is to dispose of surplus property owned by the City/FPRA.
The City of Fort Pierce and FPRA sell City and FPRA-owned real property declared as surplus. Once the property has been declared as surplus by the City/FPRA the property shall be offered for sale to the public with a Request for Bids.
Prior to issuing competitive bids for any surplus properties, we are taking the time to conduct a comprehensive review of our purchasing procedures to ensure a more streamlined and effective surplus property bid process in the future.
